Clive Whittaker was born in Zimbabwe, a fourth-generation African whose roots on the continent run deep. That heritage gave him an early appetite for adventure, determination, and learning, a trait that would come to define nearly every chapter of his life.

That trait showed itself early. As a young man, Clive apprenticed as a machinist on the factory floor. It was there, watching salespeople work with the shop, that he first felt the spark, a pull toward sales.

Clive sailed a 47-foot sailboat from South Africa to the Caribbean and spent five years as a professional crew member aboard yachts. Even as he built a career on the water, he never lost sight of two long-term goals: becoming a professional salesperson and becoming an American citizen.

It was in St. Maarten that Clive met Lisa, the woman who would become his wife. He spent two years asking her to marry him before she finally said yes. That yes marked the beginning of a marriage that has now lasted 37 years. They have two successful children, Matthew and Amanda.

Clive brought his sales ambitions ashore with Carnival Cruise Lines, where he spent five years on the road five days a week, helping more than 300 travel agents learn to upsell their customers. He logged roughly 40,000 miles a year in what he affectionately called his "Tape University," turning windshield time into a classroom by listening to every sales trainer and motivational speaker he could find. He has often said that his most valuable possession during those years was his library card, and he remains deeply grateful to this day to Carnival Cruise Lines and to the family he came to know there.

Clive moved into technology sales, where he has now built a 30-year career. He is a CISSP, the highest certification in cybersecurity.

Through it all, Clive has struggled to say no to adventure and public speaking. He volunteers as a Marshal for Formula One, MotoGP, and local motor races, runs a successful AI group, rides a motorcycle, and still boats every chance he can. Clive holds friendship and family above all else. He has a strong passion for training and lifting others up, a spirit that comes through the moment he picks up the phone, always answering with a cheerful, "Clive Whittaker at your service."
